Role Overview

As a software engineering student within our Strategic Frontrunner Projects Team, you will engage in pioneering initiatives that highlight the advantages of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Working under the guidance of an experienced developer, you will interact directly with clients and users, undertaking essential tasks that span requirements gathering, software architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment.

You will collaborate with a dynamic group of students possessing diverse technical and design expertise, collectively transforming ideas into tangible applications for real users.

We seek a student with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, capable of contributing at every phase to ensure an exceptional user experience.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled (f/m/d) in a university program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline

Technical Skills:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in computer science and software engineering principles
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., git)
  • Experience in iOS App Development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit)
  • Understanding of UX principles and methodologies
  • Knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs is advantageous
  • Experience with AR/VR technologies is a plus (e.g., RealityKit, ARKit)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices is beneficial (e.g., Continuous Integration using Jenkins or Travis)
  • Background in Game Design or 3D modeling is a plus
  • Exposure to AI technologies is a plus

Language Proficiency:

  • Proficient in German or English (both written and spoken)

About Your Team

The Strategic Projects team operates at the core of the 'Business Technology Platform (BTP) Foundation Engineering' unit, focusing on innovative solutions across BTP topics and enhancing BTP products and services. We deliver expert insights and prepare keynotes on strategic BTP technology subjects, collaborating with other SAP teams to achieve our objectives.
