About the Role

In the position of Global Key Account Manager, you will spearhead, cultivate, secure, and sustain business relationships with strategic automotive clients, aiming to meet Key Sales KPIs and fulfill Account Plan objectives.

Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Actively oversee the account to retain existing business and prevent sales erosion;
  • Successfully bid for existing business, execute and align tender strategies while collaborating with stakeholders across sales, finance, marketing, ventures, legal, and more;
  • Acquire new business in emerging segments and innovate value-added offerings for key customers within the CBU's segments;
  • Implement new business wins - nurture the account, provide inventive solutions, and establish DS Smith's presence within the account to ensure long-term growth;
  • Manage the Division Key Account Plan and the profitability of key accounts;
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, loyalty, and enhancing the customer experience by identifying opportunities within customers' supply chains to boost efficiency and reduce costs through innovative solutions.

About You

  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience);
  • Strong business insight, commercial experience, and a proven track record in driving and managing sales growth, alongside successful development and execution of account strategies at a divisional level;
  • Capability to navigate a complex global matrix environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze, and initiate actions based on robust financial insights and understanding;
  • A resilient, entrepreneurial, and persuasive change agent with excellent communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Proficient in written and spoken German and English; additional European languages are a plus;
  • Previous experience in the packaging sector is preferred but not mandatory.

Location: Remote, based in Germany; approximately 40% travel required.
