IKL Recruitment Services is partnering with a renowned Pharmaceutical company seeking a highly accomplished Senior Director of Corporate Strategy and M&A to join their dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the company's long-term strategic direction and driving growth through mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. You will lead the development and execution of corporate strategies to optimize business performance and expand the company's market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and refine the company's corporate strategy, encompassing identifying growth opportunities, assessing market dynamics, and evaluating competitive landscapes.
  • M&A Strategy: Lead the formulation of the company's M&A strategy, including target identification, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration planning. Evaluate potential acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Deal Execution: Oversee the end-to-end M&A process, from deal origination to transaction closure. Drive cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and business development, to ensure seamless execution and timely completion of transactions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modeling, valuation, and scenario planning, to evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives and potential acquisitions. Assess investment returns, synergies, and risks associated with M&A opportunities.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations based on market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, business unit heads, and functional leaders, to align corporate strategy with business objectives and drive consensus on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate strategy, M&A, investment banking, or management consulting within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions, from deal origination to integration, with a focus on value creation and strategic alignment.
  • Strong financial acumen, including proficiency in financial analysis, valuation techniques, and deal structuring.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights.
  • Effective leadership and influencing skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus in a matrix organization.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and German; additional language skills are a plus.
