About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Process Manager to join our team at tonies - Boxine GmbH. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in steering the optimization, automation, and digitalization of tax processes across the entire group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with the Global Tax Lead to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • ERP Implementation: Drive the implementation of fully digitalized processes using our ERP system, as well as available tools and technology, to streamline tax accounting and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with stakeholders to establish digitized processes and bring them to life, ensuring seamless integration across all tax-relevant workstreams.
  • Template Development: Implement templates and controls across all tax-relevant workstreams to roll out to the entire group, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Team Support: Provide support and enablement to relevant teams in the fulfillment of tax documentation, compliance, and reporting obligations.
  • Process Maintenance: Maintain and further improve the Tax Compliance Management System through identification of measures, implementation of controls, and continuous optimization of processes.
  • Standard Development: Develop and implement standards in contract templates, standard clauses, and other consistent tax technical terms and provisions.
  • Project Management: Manage large projects end-to-end, including prioritization and process optimization to improve efficiency.
  • Future-Proofing: Identify tax processes that will be needed in the future as the company grows and ensure a company-wide understanding of needed processes.
  • Consultation: Provide consultation to data teams on the design, development, and implementation of IT-based solutions for the tax department.
Requirements
  • Commercial, IT, and/or Tax Background: Possess a great understanding of processes, structures, and technology.
  • Professional Experience: Gained at least 5 years of professional experience in the finance/tax department of an international company or same field in an international consultancy.
  • Tax Knowledge: Well-versed in the norms of German or foreign tax law and eager to further develop tax technical skills in that area.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, especially with colleagues who do not have a tax background, and determination in implementing processes across different teams.
  • Self-Organization: Excellent self-organization, high level of commitment, and a healthy approach to change and challenges.
  • Solution-Focused: A solution-focused person, taking ownership over actions and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Technical Skills: Confident in dealing with MS Navision (our ERP System).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; German or other languages are very welcome.
