Expert in Partner and Process Management for Humanitarian Initiatives
Location: Bonn
This role is available for immediate filling, with a contract duration of two years. The position will be based in Bonn, Germany.
As part of the Humanitarian Directorate at Welthungerhilfe, you will join a Program Management Unit (PMU) alongside a Technical Anticipatory Humanitarian Action Team (TAHAT), forming the Operational Support Unit for our Anticipatory Humanitarian Action Program.
In your capacity as an Expert in Partner and Process Management, you will oversee the evaluation and assurance of partner contract stipulations and implementation criteria for international humanitarian NGOs and their local counterparts regarding program funding, ensuring compliance with due diligence assessments. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate the adherence to partner contracts, ensuring alignment with established regulations and quality benchmarks. International travel may be required, particularly within Sub-Saharan Africa, to enhance Welthungerhilfe's commitment to effective Anticipatory Humanitarian Action (AHA) programming for vulnerable populations, particularly in collaboration with international NGOs and local humanitarian partners to bolster their AHA capabilities.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate, review, and validate partner contract stipulations concerning due diligence assessments.
- Monitor and assess the accurate execution of partner contracts in line with specified regulations and quality standards.
- Manage and oversee partner contracts in accordance with both internal and external guidelines.
- Ensure the accurate input and updating of partner contract data in FundsPro (the program's partner contract management system) and its reconciliation with ProMIS.
- Prepare overviews of partner contracts for budget monitoring purposes.
- Collaborate with program/project management to maintain current expenditure and revenue/liquidity forecasts.
- Conduct quality checks and assurances, preparing consolidated internal and external partner contract reports in partnership with program/project management.
- Act as the primary contact for partner contract reports and inquiries.
- Coordinate with relevant partner contract representatives from participating country offices regarding contract-related matters.
- Provide operational support in documentation, compliance monitoring, contract management, and reporting to the PMU and partners.
- Assist in the coordination and management of internal and external audits, implementing necessary improvements.
- Work with program/project management to reconcile partner contract data between FundsPro and ProMIS.
- Support the coordination and management of finances in accordance with both internal and external regulations.
Your Profile
- A university degree or equivalent commercial training in a relevant field such as business administration or financial management.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in contractual and/or financial management of programs.
- Experience in managing donor and partner projects/programs.
- Desirable: Several years of international experience in partner contract management or financial oversight.
- Ability to perform under pressure and a willingness to travel to regions with challenging local conditions.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written German and English; French language skills are a plus.
