The Blockchain & Climate Institute is seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join as Director of Programmes (DPG). As a volunteer-led think tank, our mission is to support and advocate for the application of blockchain technology in the global fight against climate change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programme strategies aligned with our overall mission and vision
- Coordinate and manage projects with global team members, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication
- Engage with stakeholders to achieve synergy and drive collective impact
- Create a collaborative and inclusive work environment that fosters innovation and growth
- Identify key milestones and facilitate collective learning and knowledge sharing
- Work closely with senior management to mitigate risks and ensure programme success
- Resolve conflicts and foster a solution-based approach to problem-solving
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, showcasing programme achievements and impact
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in leading sustainability initiatives and programmes
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including partners, donors, and team members
- Experience in managing remote teams and virtual collaboration tools
- Degree in a sustainability-related field, such as environmental science, ecology, or conservation biology
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Skills & Abilities:
- Passionate about climate action and emerging technologies, with a deep understanding of their potential to drive positive change
- Effective collaborator with strong leadership skills, able to inspire and motivate team members
- Ability to analyze complex problems and make data-driven decisions, with a focus on programme impact and effectiveness
- Inclusive mindset with excellent project management skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management apps, with experience in data analysis and reporting
Selection Process:
The Blockchain & Climate Institute welcomes candidates with various levels of experience and assesses them based on the skills and qualifications required for the role. The selection process includes verbal and numerical reasoning, situation judgment test, and an in-tray exercise.
