About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our commercial operations in Hamburg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and driving business growth through strategic planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial organization in our Hamburg office, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, including health and safety, compliance, and data protection.
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, and manage risk to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, in accordance with company standards (HGB, IFRS).
  • Plan and budget based on regional and business unit guidelines.
  • Manage project control, structured monthly meetings, and project status meetings for our Hamburg office.
  • Oversee and support the management of contracts and projects, including legal opinions and contract analysis, in collaboration with the legal department and regional commercial directors.
  • Support the office manager and regional commercial directors in all commercial matters.
  • Act as a liaison with external partners, including lawyers, contractors, insurers, auditors, and government agencies.
Requirements
  • Completed business administration studies (diploma, master, or bachelor) or equivalent qualification, with additional certifications a plus.
  • Several years of experience in a commercial role, preferably in the electrical engineering sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business operations from a legal and technical perspective, including knowledge of public procurement law (VOB).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and engagement.
  • Experience in disciplinary leadership of employees, desirable.
  • Leadership personality with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • High level of commitment, strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork.
