Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with SCHOTT's existing business.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential markets and applications for new business opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams in complex, international new business projects with demanding technological concepts.
- Develop business and sales models for selected applications, and draft business plans for subsequent decision-making and implementation.
- Collaborate with internal functional units, customers, and external partners to drive business growth and development.
- Transfer business ideas into the business units, and support the development of strategies and concepts for the marketing and sales of new products.
Your Ideal Profile
- Hold an excellent honors degree in business management, science, or materials, or business administration and engineering, preferably with a PhD.
- Combine strong business acumen with deep technological understanding.
- Bring several years of international experience in business/new business development from a technology company or renowned business consultancy firm with a strong technological focus.
- Have experience in Semiconductor and/or Microelectronic, materials, and value chains.
- Be able to translate technology into business.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
- Embody an entrepreneurial approach with strong commitment to teamwork.
- Have comprehensive experience in market analysis, competitor monitoring, and identification of necessary actions.
- Stay up-to-date with technological trends in relevant markets and identify innovative product ideas and business areas.
- Proven track record of successful cooperation in international projects as a member of cross-functional teams, ideally with project management experience.
- Fluent business English (written and spoken), and knowledge of other languages, with a willingness to travel abroad.
