Corporate Finance Intern

We are seeking enthusiastic students to join our team for a duration of 3 to 6 months to acquire hands-on experience in Corporate Finance at a globally recognized boutique investment firm with a robust deal pipeline.

Saxenhammer is a prominent M&A boutique focused on medium-sized and growth enterprises. With a track record of over 300 successful transactions, we possess deep industry expertise and craft tailored solutions for our clients across various markets. As the exclusive representative of the M&A network CDI Global in Germany, we frequently advise on international transactions and leverage the extensive industry knowledge of our global partners.

In the Special Situations M&A domain, we assist corporations, businesses, and entrepreneurs navigating complex scenarios such as carve-outs, spin-offs, and restructuring initiatives. As a leading boutique in Germany in this area, with more than 20 years of experience, we merge investment banking acumen with essential legal insights to deliver optimal outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of pitch materials, teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
  • Engage actively in client and investor communications, providing assistance throughout processes alongside senior team members.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models, conduct financial analyses, and perform company valuations.
  • Execute industry, company, and competitive research.
  • Assist in due diligence efforts.
Required Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree in economics or a related field with a concentration in corporate finance, or recently graduated with outstanding academic performance.
  • Prior experience in M&A consulting, corporate finance, or private equity is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, consulting and communication abilities, and a confident presence.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and communication skills, complemented by a collaborative mindset.
  • Capacity to manage tight deadlines and demanding client expectations, along with adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).
