Team Overview

Following the successful establishment of its European headquarters, Pictet is on the lookout for a Financial Risk Manager (m/f/d) to enhance its European Risk division. This presents a remarkable opportunity to join a prestigious institution during a pivotal moment and contribute to the development of a comprehensive pan-European Risk framework.

The Pictet Group stands as one of the foremost independent wealth and asset management firms globally. Established in 1805 and based in Geneva, Switzerland, the Group operates in 30 financial hubs worldwide, employing over 5200 professionals.

You will report directly to the Head of Financial Risk within the Risk & Compliance department. As a vital member of the Financial Risk team, you will significantly influence the management of the firm's risk profile and the ongoing enhancement of its risk management framework. Collaboration with colleagues from Finance and Risk & Compliance in Frankfurt, as well as Treasury and Financial Risk teams in Luxembourg, will be essential, alongside interaction with the Risk unit at the Pictet Group's headquarters in Geneva.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the assessment and modeling of both financial and non-financial risks.
- Aid in the evolution of the Bank's risk framework as a dynamic management tool.
- Deliver quarterly integrated risk reports to the Bank's governing bodies, including stress test outcomes for pertinent risk exposures.
- Support the annual review cycles for the Bank's ICAAP, pillar 3, and recovery planning, preparing necessary documentation and presenting findings for approval.
- Contribute to the upkeep and effectiveness of the Bank's stress testing program for ICAAP and recovery planning.
- Engage in risk analysis for new product/service launches from a financial risk perspective as needed.
- Conduct regulatory monitoring and stay informed about market best practices related to financial risk.

Candidate Profile

- A university degree in finance or a related field (engineering, mathematics, etc.) or an equivalent qualification.
- CFA, FRM, or a similar postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
- Ideally, a minimum of five years' experience in a comparable position.
- Familiarity with quantitative risk management techniques would be a significant asset.
- Experience with counterparty credit risk is preferred.
- Understanding of EU banking regulations.
- Proficiency in German and/or English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA) would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Front Arena, Business Objects, RiskPro, and Tableau is advantageous.
