IT Infrastructure Senior Specialist

Your Role

Oversee the management of IT systems, ensuring the maintenance, development, and assessment of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, and wireless implementations. Administer and enhance the SAN infrastructure. Guarantee the efficient operation of PharmaLex IT systems. Evaluate, categorize, and prioritize IT requests from PharmaLex personnel. Coordinate and monitor the resolution of IT tickets. Manage IT assets, including the upkeep of component inventories and associated documentation. Collaborate closely with the IT Team Leader and stakeholders from various departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technological solutions across the organization. Contribute to the design of IT operations, service functions, and processes. Administer connections to client systems. Act as a backup administrator by configuring, managing, and monitoring backup solutions, tracking backup job outcomes, and reporting any backup issues. Maintain oversight of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery protocols. Standardize, manage, and expand the software tool portfolio. Oversee license management and optimization. Conduct lifecycle management for both hardware and software. Provide training on IT-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Ensure adherence to IT security standards. Contribute to the upkeep of the company's Quality Management System.

Your Qualifications

IT Skills and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including some time in a small to medium enterprise environment. Proficient in both German and English. Hands-on technical expertise in key PLx technologies. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux Server. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Entra ID. Familiarity with network routing and firewall management. Understanding of IT security principles. Experience with server virtualization technologies, particularly VMWare. Practical knowledge of IT service management processes (ITIL). Awareness of current IT infrastructure challenges and solutions. Experience collaborating with IT service providers.
