Role Overview:

We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to enhance our expanding team in Germany, providing support across our diverse business sectors. The HR Business Partner serves as the primary contact for all personnel-related matters within their designated area, managing both strategic and operational HR functions. This role is essential in fostering trusted and impactful relationships with senior management, offering guidance, consultation, and coordinating operational HR excellence. Additionally, this position will play a pivotal role in navigating upcoming organizational changes and the necessary personnel transitions. A key aspect of this role is to act as a business partner, delivering value-added services to management and employees that align with the organization’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The HR Business Partner will collaborate closely with management to drive strategic initiatives and achieve results within their business unit. You will be a vital facilitator and HR expert in executing and delivering HR programs. The ideal candidate will be solution-focused, with a strong capability to partner with the business to provide client-centered outcomes and practical solutions.

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships across all management levels and staff
  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing data to address practical challenges and manage diverse situations with limited guidance
  • Advocate for the awareness and implementation of key HR programs, contributing to establishing Arcadis as an employer of choice
  • Proven experience in leading and supporting change management initiatives
  • Promote a culture of positive employee relations and engagement to enhance retention
  • Ensure regular employee feedback is gathered and followed up with appropriate action plans
  • Support the training, development, and coaching culture throughout the organization
  • Guarantee the execution of annual HR processes such as performance management, talent reviews, salary assessments, and benchmarking:

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates should possess an academic degree and a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in human resources, including at least three years in business partnering roles within a complex environment. Extensive international experience and an understanding of the intricacies of managing HR issues across borders are advantageous.

Additional Required Skills:

  • A degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and presentation capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret HR data
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the maturity to engage with senior leadership
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all key HR functions, including employee relations, change management, diversity, compensation, and talent development
  • Familiarity with leading HR industry practices
  • Experience in matrix organizations and complex international settings
  • Ability to drive and support change initiatives
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • High levels of empathy and teamwork, with a proactive attitude
  • Basic understanding of German labor law
  • Proficiency in both German and English
  • Willingness to travel as business needs dictate
