**ABOUT THE VENTURE**
tozero is Europe's pioneering startup dedicated to sustainable lithium-ion battery recycling. Our mission is to revolutionize the material life-cycle, accelerate decarbonization efforts, and create a greener future for all.

As the **Business Development Team Lead**, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business horizons and driving growth. Your hustling spirit, leadership and vision will be instrumental in generating revenue streams, forging strategic partnerships, exploring new business opportunities, and ensuring our continued success in the competitive market. You will be working directly with the CEO & Co-Founder of tozero.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the Business Development team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop and implement clean sales processes that allow you to push revenue growth.
- Build up a sales machine that unstoppably aims to close deals and achieve ambitious KPIs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve.
- Analyze data and metrics to assess performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Build strong relationships with potential clients, industry stakeholders, and partners, representing tozero to the outside.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
- Identify hiring needs within the team and support in recruiting talent.
- Be responsible for the team´s budget, making sure to allocate resources the best way to achieve your goals. Set pricing strategies for our “green” commodity products.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED**
- You hold a degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- You have 5 years of relevant full-time work experience and 2+ years of experience in leading teams.
- You have experienced a fast-paced environment and understand how the commodity industry works. Ideally, you have experience at technology-focused start-ups, scale-ups or similar later-stage fast-paced ventures. Having worked in investment banking, consulting or big tech in combination with a customer-focused business development history could also help you excel in this role.
- You are an experienced deal maker and have a strong track record of closing deals in B2B Sales and identify with success in driving revenue growth and achieving business targets. A track record in sales of commodities is a plus. Having that entrepreneurial aspect in the back of your mind will be helpful.
- You display strong leadership skills and a passion for developing and mentoring international teams.
- You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
- You are a strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented approach who shines in a complex and uncertain environment.
- You are passionate about sustainability and driving positive environmental impact through innovation.
- Experience in start-ups and with the Asian market is advantageous.
- You are proficient in English in writing and speaking. Business fluent German and Chinese is a nice extra.
