**We are seeking for**:
Founded in 2010, the private Kühne Logistics University - Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Logistik und Unternehmensführung (KLU) is located in Hamburg's Hafencity. KLU is a state-recognised university initiated and supported by the non-profit Kühne Foundation, offering English-language degree programmes in logistics and business studies and building a strong research profile.
The KLU Library is responsible for the entire area of academic information provision for research and teaching and knowledge management. It acquires print and e-media and offers numerous further information services. To strengthen our team we are looking for
**Student Assistants for the Library (gn*)**

The job offers an interesting opportunity to contribute to the development of a young library.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Lending and information activities at the library's information desk; photocopying, filing tasks.
- Supporting work in document ordering, preparation and literature research, especially course literature
- Support for cataloguing (WMS, PICA), interlibrary loan and journal management
- Collaboration in the development of offers for teaching information literacy and innovative service offers of the library, e.g. in the field of e-learning

**Your qualifications**:
**Expected**:

- Good knowledge of MS Office (esp. Excel).
- Good knowledge of English (business language English)
- Research skills (Internet and specialised databases)

**Desirable would be**:

- Experience with WMS (OCLC) MARC21, PICA-OUS, Typo3, Moodle or similar platforms and programmes.
- Experience with (Hamburg's) academic libraries
- Basic knowledge of cataloguing

We expect a willingness to work carefully and independently as well as a friendly and service-oriented manner. Willingness to work flexible hours according to the needs of the service is a prerequisite.
