Contract Summary

We are looking for an experienced individual to represent the interests of IMG Media in the DACH region, specifically including Media Rights Distribution and Client Account Management

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Act as a key member of the EMEA Commercial team at IMG Media, developing strategy and ensuring effective execution.
- Act in the ‘Prokura’ role as Managing Director of the IMG Media Munich office, performing all key requirements such as contract signatory
- Lead strategy for the Media Rights sales team in DACH. Devise, implement and execute the regional strategy, set improvement and new business targets for the team and devise revenue plans to achieve and exceed these targets.
- Management and operational planning for Media Rights activities in the region. Oversight of the full sales funnel (from prospecting to deal closure) for high-value brand partnerships.
- Management and operational planning for other DACH commercial activities, in particular continuing to develop IMG Media’s winter sports strategy and key client relationships such as Ski Austria and the IBSF.
- Collaborate with and manage the work of the EMEA sales teams to deepen and grow revenue relationships with clients, including upsell and cross-sell of Endeavor services.
- Powerfully articulate and present opportunities in the marketplace. Lead sales pitches for new business opportunities.
- Work with Finance and Commercial support teams to accurately forecast revenue, offering clear visibility on sales performance by updating deal pipelines and monthly status reports.
- Understand relevant data and market updates to present current sales cycle opportunities and challenges, including the strategies of competitors. Work closely with IMG Media client service and creative teams to develop new and innovative go-to-market strategies, packages and products to grow value on behalf of our clients.
- Drive excellence throughout the sales cycle, including research, prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating and closing deals. Develop learning and development opportunities for the team.
- Recruit, hire, develop and lead a high-performing sales and client management team. Guide team members to drive revenue and support client retention.
- Initiate and negotiate new partnerships or the re-negotiation of existing agreements.
- Attend joint venture partners periodic (quarterly or other) meetings, including developing relationships with key JV partner representatives as required.

Knowledge and Experience
- An accomplished and considered senior executive with extensive years of demonstrated success in managing commercial focused teams in the sports and entertainment media sector.
- An established business developer and commercial professional, with a strong track record of consistent growth.
- A relationship management expert, with proven experience of effectively managing key business relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- A senior leader, highly skilled in team management and driving effective change where required.
- A proven strategist, with demonstrable history of implementing solid, achievable, and successful business plans.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the sports broadcast landscape, including extensive experience of sports rights distribution within the media industry.
- Strong relationships with key sports industry clients in relevant markets.

- Excellent presentation skills - must be confident and capable of presenting to internal and external key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines.
- Highly organised and capable of managing time-critical projects.
- Commercially focused with a drive to exceed revenue targets and create new sales opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.
- High computer literacy and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint tools.

Working Conditions
- This is a permanent position.
- This role will be based in our office in Munich, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
- May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
- Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
- Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
