Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: Switzerland / Germany / France, with the possibility of remote work and required travel within Central Europe


Role Objective:

As the Director of Sales and Business Development, you will be responsible for significantly expanding iGroove's presence in Central Europe. You will develop and implement innovative sales strategies and business models that directly contribute to scaling our business and strengthening our market position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Expansion: Developing entry strategies for new markets and segments, including comprehensive market analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Product Innovation and Adaptation: Tailoring existing products and introducing new offerings specifically tailored to the needs of the Central European markets.
  • Building and Maintaining Industry Partnerships: Establishing strategic partnerships with other labels, artists, and platforms to promote our catalog and services.
  • Optimizing Sales Channels: Analyzing and optimizing existing sales channels and establishing new channels to maximize reach and efficiency.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Building a regional team through recruitment, training, and talent development within the sales and business development teams.
  • Revenue and Budget Responsibility: Developing and monitoring budgets, forecasting, and revenue goals to ensure financial discipline and profitability.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Implementing advanced analytics methods for accurate sales forecasts and performance tracking.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior sales or business development role, preferably in the music industry or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing growth strategies that have led to measurable success.
  • Profound knowledge of music distribution and associated technological trends.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate inter-culturally.
  • Fluent proficiency in both German and English languages; additional language skills are a plus.
