Within our Global Technology & Cloud Platform division, the Cloud Platform Automation (CPA) team plays a pivotal role in this transition.

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building the future of cloud infrastructure.

As a member of the CPA team, you'll design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that propel Amadeus' cloud migration and enable large-scale, rapid deployment of our infrastructure in Azure through Infrastructure as Code technologies. You'll work alongside architects and product owners, turning complex requirements into functional, efficient code that makes a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and maintain software applications that are the backbone of our cloud migration efforts.
  • Write robust, maintainable code that adheres to high standards of quality.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to convert user requirements into technical blueprints.
  • Address software challenges promptly, ensuring our solutions are always at peak performance.
  • Contribute to peer code reviews, fostering a culture of excellence and mutual growth.
  • Keep abreast of the latest in programming, tools, and frameworks to enhance our development processes.
  • Integrate into the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration, contributing to an environment where software excellence is achieved through continuous delivery practices .

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Go or Python programming. Experience with terraform, terragrunt or Groovy is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Experience with DevOps principles and tools, with Docker, Jenkins and Kubernetes knowledge being beneficial.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize solutions.
  • Team spirit, ability to work as part of a team and in a multicultural environment
  • Agile mindset and knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Quality mindset, ability to write unit tests and validate solutions
