Job Description

We have a unique opportunity for someone who has a strategic mindset and is excited about enabling brilliant execution to help drive the commercialization of our portfolio with customers in Western Europe (WE).Does it sound exciting?   • Build and develop the Western European portfolio go to market approach, ensuring that it is aligned to global direction, and maximizes the commercial return for the Market Group.
  • Build and deploy portfolio differentiation and rare items' strategy in the WE, to deliver value for our retail partners.
  • Balance short-term and long-term goals, continuously assess the commercial situation and industry best practice and drive data-based discussions about the challenges and opportunities in the market.
  • Engage in dialogues with senior stakeholders (WE and Business Unit leadership teams) and secure leadership support behind your strategy and execution approach.
  • Set direction to the BUs (Business Units), to ensure they adhere to your regional strategy.
  • Be a crucial and influential member of the global portfolio network, inputting into portfolio development to ensure the commercial and shopper needs of Western Europe are met.
  • Track the deployment of the portfolio to ensure that the correct portfolio levers are being used to maximize sales.
  • Deploy & track merchandising guidelines implementation.
  • Manage a team of two: enabling both portfolio managers for success, both in terms of their functional goals and their professional development.
  • Be a part of the RCD Leadership team, focused on enabling a collaborative, energetic and engaged regional organization
Play your part in our team succeeding

The WE Region is the largest Market Group within The LEGO Group and covers 16 countries. The successful candidate will work as a key member of the RCD Team, fully immersed in the WE Market Group.

To unlock the full commercial potential, this person will help the LEGO Group achieve the strategic choices and deliver the Global portfolio agenda in WE. Balance short-and long-term priorities and work with an analytical approach to drive fact-based discussions with our commercial leaders. You will also be a strong team and individual leader, with proven stakeholder management, and you will have positive impact in the teams and organisations you are a part of and have led.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate holds a university degree or equivalent working experience working in a large international manufacturing organisation or complex retailer and have solid expertise in setting up sales processes and governance practices and a proven history of business performance in commercial roles.

Omni-channel retail experience or account management, previous experience in Sales, Retail Planning or Buying departments and proven ability working cross-functionally and cross regionally, are all desirables.
