E-Commerce Category Manager/Product Manager for Battery

As Category Manager / Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and driving the sales growth of your product category across subtel’s webshops and on Amazon.
 
 Your tasks will include: 

  • Analysing sales and product trends, our competition, as well as e-commerce customer demand
  • Developing and maintaining pricing strategies for products within our target markets
  • Scouring the internet for new online marketplaces, attending trade fairs, and working with existing suppliers to develop products that meet our customers’ needs
  • Working with our purchasing team to source suitable products that fulfill the niches you have identified through your research
  • Providing clear direction to the content, graphic design, and photography departments to ensure that item descriptions, packaging, and instruction manuals properly reflect the product and our brand
  • Responsibility for the sales and profitability of your product categories
  • Creating regular, detailed plans and forecasts for your category
  • Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, including purchasing, quality management, graphics, content, and marketing departments, to implement your category strategies across the whole organisation
 
What You’ll Bring - Our wishlist for the ideal candidate includes: 
  • A relevant university degree or comparable training
  • At least two years of professional experience in category management, product management, or purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment
  • Expertise, experience, and a personal interest in electronic products, preferably as a product or category manager
  • Advanced written and spoken English
  • You think analytically and have strong problem-solving skills
  • You have a high sense of responsibility and project management skills
