Editor Assistant Internship
Internship Duration: 3 Months Location: Galerie Sara Lily Perez, Berlin Duration: 3 months Type: Part-Time, Mandatory Internship as a part of the Study Program, Erasmus Students Eligibility: University students enrolled in a major in the arts About Galerie Sara Lily Perez: Galerie Sara Lily Perez (GSLP) is a contemporary art gallery based in Berlin, specializing in social and environmental art. Our gallery showcases a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and digital art, emphasizing sustainability and community engagement. We aim to create a platform for artists who use their talents to promote positive change in the world. Internship Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Editor Assistant for a three-month internship. This position is for university students majoring in the arts who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic gallery environment. Responsibilities: - Assist with the installation of exhibitions, including setting up and taking down artworks. - Support the editing and preparation of exhibition materials, such as artist statements, biographies, and press releases. - Help manage the gallery's social media accounts by creating engaging content and promoting events. - Assist with the organization of gallery events, such as vernissages, workshops, and artist talks. - Maintain and update the gallery's digital archives and inventory systems. - Provide administrative support, including responding to inquiries and assisting visitors during gallery hours. Requirements: - Currently enrolled in a university program with a major in the arts. - Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and German (proficiency in German is a must). - Basic knowledge of contemporary art and familiarity with social and environmental issues in the art world. - Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
