Your Mission

We're SpotmyEnergy – an energy tech startup based in Cologne and Berlin, helping solar installers sell more and make energy flexible.
Our tools turn installers into providers of complete smart energy solutions — combining their hardware with our software and energy products (metering, tariffs, and home energy management). We're growing fast and backed by leading investors such as Picus Capital and Norrsken VC (€10M seed).

We're looking for a Working Student – UX & Product Design (w/m/d) to join our small, ambitious team in Berlin — working side by side with:
  • David (Product Manager)
  • Angelica (Principal Product Designer)
As the only designer on our B2B team, you'll have plenty of ownership — shaping tools that help solar installers sell smarter and manage energy more efficiently.
It's a hands-on, end-to-end design role where your work will go live fast and make a visible impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end UX flows for new partner-facing features — from concept to pixel-perfect UI.

  • Shape our B2B platform to empower solar installers and improve their daily workflows.

  • Turn real user problems into intuitive, elegant experiences, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Tech.

  • Work directly with developers — your designs won't sit in Figma; they'll ship.

Your first month at SpotmyEnergy:

  • Week 1: Explore our product and user journeys.

  • Week 2: Take on your first feature — own UX & UI from idea to prototype.

  • Week 3: Test and iterate based on feedback from the team and real users.

  • Week 4: Finalize and hand over your design to frontend.



Your Profile

  • A strong design sense — you've built something you're genuinely proud of.

  • You move fast from problem → concept → design.

  • Independent, proactive, and detail-oriented, with high standards for quality.

  • Ideally, you've gained experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment.

  • Bonus: Experience in frontend implementation (React, , etc.).

  • Based in Berlin, currently enrolled in a degree in Product Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
