Regional Head of Business Development

Victrex plc, a global leader in advanced material solutions, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Regional Head of Business Development to drive our ambitious growth agenda across Europe.

What You'll Do:

• Lead & Inspire: Manage and motivate a high-performing business development team (typically 5–10 strong) to deliver exceptional results.
• Strategic Growth: Develop and execute innovative strategies to achieve pipeline revenue growth of £20m–£100m, with direct responsibility for a functional budget of £1m–£2m.
• Collaborate Globally: Work with global business development and industry leaders to translate cutting-edge strategies into regional success stories.
• Expand & Innovate: Identify and seize new business opportunities, expand our customer base, and drive proactive lead generation across and beyond Europe.
• Build Relationships: Forge and nurture connections with key industry players, ensuring Victrex remains at the forefront of market innovation.
• Be the Face of Growth: Represent Victrex at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

What You'll Bring:

• A technical or business degree; MBA and professional memberships are a plus.
• Specific expertise in high-performance plastic materials, ideally with knowledge of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone).
• Existing relationships with major companies across different industry segments are highly desirable. Prior experience working for a plastics manufacturer or with Tier 1 suppliers and OEM customers is strongly preferred.
• A proven track record of leading and coaching sales teams to success in competitive environments.
• Mastery of commercial excellence practices, key account management, territory planning, and account-based marketing.
• A passion for data-driven decision-making, with the ability to analyse market trends and pipeline performance to drive strategic growth.
• Experience in cross-selling, key account penetration, and regaining competitive ground.
