We have partnered exclusively with leading international renewable energy company is scaling rapidly with global pipeline of 14 GW in solar PV projects and 20GWh in battery storage across 10 countries.

Germany is a core growth market and since 2022, the local team has grown steadily, with a strong pipeline in solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects hence why they are now looking for a
*Grid Manager.*
You will manage all grid connection and system integration activities for solar and battery storage projects in Germany. You'll oversee the full interconnection process—from application to commissioning—and coordinate with engineering partners, utilities, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are delivered on time and in compliance with German grid codes.

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Lead grid strategy and interconnection processes for German projects
  • Submit and manage grid connection applications (Anschlussbegehren, Netzanschlussanfrage)
  • Act as main contact for DSOs, TSOs, certifiers, and technical advisors
  • Track grid capacity, timelines, and approval milestones
  • Manage internal and external engineering teams (grid studies, simulations, certification)
  • Provide technical input for project acquisitions and due diligence
  • Oversee grid-related infrastructure design (transformers, substations, cabling)
  • Ensure delivery of grid compliance documentation (Einheitenzertifikat, Anlagenzertifikat)
  • Identify and manage grid-related technical and procedural risks
  • Maintain clear internal reporting and documentation

*Requirements*

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar
  • 8+ years' experience managing grid connections for utility-scale energy projects in Germany
  • Strong understanding of German DSO/TSO grid procedures and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience coordinating with grid consultants, certifiers, and EPC partners
  • Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Fluent in German and English.
