We are seeking an experienced and driven Development Manager to lead the advancement of our renewable energy portfolio in Germany. In this strategic and operational role, you will guide late-stage projects through to ready-to-build (RTB) status and play a central role in sourcing and executing new opportunities. As we grow our presence in the German market, this position offers a clear pathway to becoming Head of Development – Germany.

Key responsibilities include managing the permitting, grid, and land acquisition processes for solar PV and BESS projects, overseeing stakeholder and regulatory engagement, and driving cross-functional coordination to reach financial close. You will also evaluate new project pipelines, foster relationships with partners and public entities, track regulatory developments, and support the long-term growth of our local team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development in Germany, ideally in solar PV and/or BESS.
  • Strong track record of taking projects through the full lifecycle (including permitting and grid).
  • Excellent understanding of the German regulatory, permitting, and grid connection landscape.
  • Network of contacts within the energy market (developers, consultants, landowners, authorities, TSOs/DSOs).
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership potential and ambition to take on a broader role as Head of Development.
