Brightsmith is partnering with a global operator in the renewable energy sector, to appoint a
Grid Connection Manager for Wind and Solar PV projects in Germany.
This role is central to securing and managing grid connections for a large pipeline of renewable energy projects across the country. It is an excellent opportunity to shape the success of major wind, solar, and hybrid developments while working with a business committed to driving clean energy forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the grid connection process for all projects in Germany
  • Assess and compare grid connection options, balancing technical, regulatory, and financial considerations
  • Prepare and submit
    grid connection applications
  • Maintain consistent communication with distribution network operators and other stakeholders to secure agreements.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation measures to support on-time, cost-effective project delivery
  • Coordinate closely with the Planning and Project Management teams throughout development
  • Build and sustain strong working relationships with relevant network operators

Who We're Looking For

  • 2 or more years of experience in grid connection
    or power systems; renewable energy experience is valued
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Experience with
    grid connection processes
    for both demand and generation
  • Strong understanding of
    German grid connection regulations, processes, and technical standards
  • Good knowledge of
    German distribution and transmission networks
  • Ability to
    interpret technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings
