We are now looking for a
Business Development & Partnerships Manager
to join the EXPO team on a
commission-only contract basis
.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role for someone who can drive revenue, secure sponsorships, attract exhibitors, and build strategic partnerships.
You will work directly with the Founder to bring together the companies and institutions that will shape MunichTech EXPO 2026.
Key Responsibilities1. Sponsorship Sales (Top Priority)
- Identify, approach, and close corporate sponsors
- Pitch Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Track Sponsorship packages
- Build and manage the sponsorship pipeline
2. Exhibitor Sales
- Acquire exhibitors across startups, corporates, and tech companies
- Sell booths, pods, and exhibitor packages
- Work with accelerators, associations, and delegations
3. Strategic Partnerships
- Build collaborations with universities, research labs, and institutions
- Support outreach for the Research & Innovation Track
- Establish partnerships with public-sector and ecosystem players
4. Marketing & Growth Support
- Assist in outreach campaigns (email, LinkedIn, community channels)
- Support visibility and attendance growth
- Represent the EXPO in relevant events and communities
Language Requirements
German fluency (C1 or higher) is mandatory
, as the role requires communication with German corporates, universities, institutions, and public-sector partners.
Professional English proficiency is also required.
What We Offer (Commission-Based Contract)
This role has
no fixed salary

- Sponsorships:
10% commission - Exhibitors:
15% commission - Delegations/partnerships: fixed bonuses
- Ticket conversions: percentage via tracked links

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in business development, partnerships, sponsorship sales, or B2B growth
- Deep understanding of the European tech and startup ecosystem
- Strong communication skills in
German and English - Ability to pitch, close deals, and engage high-level partners
- Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-driven, results-oriented
- Experience with events or exhibitions is a strong plus
