Users take a photo, our AI identifies the item and condition, we make an offer, handle logistics, and resell the products through the best-fitting channels (marketplaces, specialist partners, B2B buyers).

We're a small, fast-moving team in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, backed by experienced advisors from e-commerce and tech.

Your role

As
Marketplace Growth & Operations Intern
, you sit right at the heart of Cirkular:

  • You are in touch with our
    customers
    and potential new users.
  • You help us
    develop new sales channels and partnerships
    .
  • You are also
    hands-on with the items
    : quality checks, photos, packaging, shipments.

You'll work closely with the founders and our operations manager and help build the playbook for how Cirkular scales in Berlin. If we're a good match, this role is designed to turn into a
full-time position
.

What you'll do

1. Customer & user operations

  • Be the
    first contact
    for users in Berlin: chat, email, sometimes phone.
  • Coordinate
    pick-ups and drop-offs
    (time slots, addresses, confirmations).
  • Keep users informed about their
    payment status, item status, and next steps
    .
  • Identify the typical questions / blockers and help improve our
    templates & FAQs
    .

2. Growth & channel development

  • Help us research and onboard new resale channels (online marketplaces, B2B buyers, specialist partners for fashion, electronics, antiques, etc.).
  • Identify and approach
    local shops, second-hand stores, concept stores and dealers
    in Berlin that could buy from us or sell on consignment.
  • Support
    sales campaigns
    to move existing inventory (e.g. themed bundles, discounts, special offers per channel).
  • Analyse which
    channels, partners and formats
    (direct sale, consignment, bulk deals) work best for different types of items and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain a basic
    pipeline overview
    of ongoing partner conversations and deals (who we contacted, status, conditions, next steps).

3. Item operations & quality

  • Receive items, do
    basic quality check & light cleaning
    .
  • Take
    good product photos
    (neutral background, multiple angles, details).
  • Capture
    item data
    in our tools (brand, model, condition, measurements).
  • Prepare and
    send items to partners or end buyers
    (packaging, labels, DHL / Paketshop).
  • Keep our small
    Berlin inventory organised and tidy
    .

4. Process improvement & special projects

  • Spot
    recurring issues
    ("this message confuses users", "we should change packaging here").
  • Help us
    document and refine
    standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Join
    special founder projects
    if you're interested (e.g., testing new tools, automations etc.)

What you bring

  • You're a
    student
    (preferably in the last semesters of Bachelor or in a Master) in Business, Logistics, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship – or similar.
  • Or you're between degrees and can do a
    full-time internship ("Pflichtpraktikum" or similar)
    .
  • You can work
    full-time (40h/week) or part time (at least 20h/week) in Berlin
    for at least
    3–6 months
    .
  • You're excited about
    circular economy, e-commerce, second-hand, sustainability
    .
  • You're happy to do
    both
    :
  • Conceptual tasks (developing new channels, partnerships, testing experiments, tracking KPIs), and
  • Hands-on work (packing boxes, going to Paketshops, handling items, coordinating with logistics partners).
  • You're
    structured and reliable
    , not afraid of spreadsheets and tracking data.
  • You like talking to people:
  • Very good
    German
    (for everyday customer communication)
  • Good
    English
    (internal communication, some partners).
  • You prefer
    ownership over comfort
    – you'd rather build things yourself than just follow a corporate process.
