Your role

As Finance Operations Associate, you support the financial and administrative backbone of Sykell. You take ownership of recurring finance operations and help keep our internal processes structured, reliable, and transparent.

This is a hands on role with real responsibility. You will work closely with the Finance lead and the People and Talent team, gaining a deep understanding of how finance, operations, and people processes come together in a scaling company.

Your responsibilities


• Prepare monthly accounting and support closings using DATEV UnO


• Execute weekly payment runs and maintain liquidity and cash planning


• Support year-end closing and audits


• Ensure invoices and financial documentation are complete and well-structured


• Contribute to improving finance processes, reporting, and automation


• Monitor the general inbox and route requests appropriately


• Manage office equipment, inventory, and procurement


• Support onboarding of new hires including accounts, software licenses, and equipment


• Coordinate recurring administrative tasks with HR and Admin

Your profile


• Around one year of experience in finance, accounting or operations


• Understanding of accounting principles and invoice processing


• Experience with DATEV is a plus


• Confident working with Excel or Google Sheets


• Strong attention to detail and structured way of working


• Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines reliably


• Fluent in English, German is a strong plus


• Proactive mindset and curiosity to understand how and why things work
