Unlike traditional advisory firms, Balian Consulting owns execution. We lead and coordinate clinical, reimbursement, and commercial inputs working with a trusted US partner ecosystem to drive structured decision-making through readiness audits and milestone-based engagements. Our work is focused on reducing US market-entry risk and advancing deals from interest to contract.
Role Description
This is a project-based, hybrid role for a Business Development & Commercial Analyst (DACH) supporting our US Readiness Audit and early commercial assessment work.
The role is execution-focused and analytical rather than outbound sales–heavy. You will work closely with the Managing Director to assess European MedTech companies, structure audit inputs, and support early commercial and stakeholder analysis related to US market entry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting US Readiness Audits for DACH-region MedTech and digital health companies
- Conducting company, product, and market assessments (clinical positioning, value proposition, buyer landscape)
- Mapping key stakeholders (clinical, commercial, procurement) relevant to US entry
- Supporting target identification and prioritization for pilot and early commercial engagement
- Assisting with outreach preparation, meeting coordination, and follow-up documentation
- Contributing to deal and pilot structuring under guidance
- Preparing clear internal summaries and client-facing materials (no slide-deck consulting)
**This role is suited for someone who enjoys sales, commercial problem-solving, and early-stage execution in complex healthcare environments.
Qualifications**
- Experience in Business Development, Commercial Analysis, Sales Operations, or Consulting
- Strong ability in research, stakeholder mapping, and structured analysis
- Understanding of MedTech or digital health business models (clinical, regulatory, or commercial exposure preferred)
- Comfortable working with early-stage, incomplete information and forming clear judgments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required; German highly preferred)
- Ability to work independently in a remote / hybrid setup and manage multiple project streams
- Background in healthcare, life sciences, MedTech, or health-tech is a strong advantage
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
