Proclinical are recruiting for a Procurement Lead Development for a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis with the ability to work Europe-wide.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle large/key tenders and perform deliberations with crucial providers.
- You will own, handle and deliver on full procurement value agenda for area of accountability, which involves ROI based sourcing, sustainability, and ESG, supplier resilience and novelty.
- Serve as a trusted business partner for international shareholders up to executive level.
- You will have the oversight and comprehension of your spend universe and handle critical methodical supplier relations.
- Partake in change and constant improvement initiatives in the international procurement context.
- Offer direction to sourcing managers mainly about strategic sourcing actions, form and engage the procurement network, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Educated to a degree level in a pertinent discipline.
- At least 8+ years of experience in a similar role or as a category manager for clinical trial sourcing.
- Familiarity in handling and performing larger scale deliberations.
- Previous involvement in categories related to clinical trials, such as Regulatory Affairs, CMC, CTS, Drug Safety, Medical Writing, Biosampling, Data Science, etc would be beneficial.
- Knowledge in procurement procedures as well as pre-clinical sourcing would be advantageous.
- Comprehension of supply markets in R&D development with acquaintance in guiding without formal line management such as project teams.
- Keen on constant improvement with a background in executing initiatives and brilliant tactical and analytical thinking.
- Interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Abilities in shareholder management and networking as well as inspiring and motivating others.
- Fluency in the English language with knowledge in German would be advantageous.
