The Student Life & Support department is part of the Student Affairs division and contributes significantly to three core university objectives of its educational profile: Personal Development; Internationality; and Readiness to Join the Workplace. The department oversees the health, well-being, and social engagement of both residential and non-residential students, as well as fosters the education of students with particular regards to intercultural living and working, social mores and values, and interpersonal skills needed to succeed.

**Your responsibilities**:
To oversee the orderly and timely execution of day-to-day operations and oversight of:

- Student Life & Welfare
- Residential Life
- Extracurricular Student Activities
- Counseling and Intercultural Services
- Student Support Network
- Non-Academic Disciplinary Board
- Student Life & Support and Student Government Budgets

Provide leadership for Student Life & Support unit by:

- Defining, communicating, tracking, following up on goals of the department and assigned staff
- Providing disciplinary leadership to staff and delegating tasks to them
- Coaching employees and developing them in a goal-oriented manner (incl. identification of high-potential employees from an overall university perspective)
- Team building, including integration of new employees
- Ensuring internal succession planning
- Conducting personnel hiring, exiting and separation interviews in cooperation with Human Resources

**Your qualifications**:

- MA or equivalent
- Significant work experience in Student Life/Residential Life/Student Affairs in a university setting
- Management experience of large and diverse teams
- Expertise in student welfare issues and their support needs, including crisis management
- Experience in developing educational and governance policies, systems, and related processes
- Ability to prioritize and keep track of a wide-range of topics and tasks
