The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the mission and vision of the university. This role will lead the marketing team in creating and implementing effective marketing initiatives to promote the university's brand, increase enrollment, and enhance the overall reputation of the university.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the university's goals and objectives.
- Lead the marketing team in executing effective recruitment initiatives, including digital marketing, advertising, public relations, events, and market research.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to create compelling marketing content that highlights the university's academic programs, research initiatives, student experiences, and campus life.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the university's recruitment marketing materials, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all channels.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitive landscape to inform recruitment marketing strategy and adjust tactics as needed.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the university's website, ensuring it provides a user-friendly experience and effectively communicates the university's offerings and values to the target audience.
- Analyze market data and campaign results to measure the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage the recruitment marketing budget and ensure that all activities are cost[1]effective and meet ROI targets.
- Foster relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other key stakeholders to promote the university and enhance its reputation as a top-choice institution.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external marketing partners, agencies, and vendors, ensuring the highest quality of work and collaboration.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the recruitment marketing team to support their professional development and growth.
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and target audience preferences to inform and optimize marketing efforts and ensure the university remains competitive and relevant.
**Your qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in higher education or a related industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of marketing professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing automation platforms.
