We are currently looking for a

**Team Lead Mechanical Engineering (M/F/d)**:

To join our Engineering & Development team.

**What you will do**:

- Leading the mechanical engineering team with focus on on-time, on-quality and in-budget deliveries to the development projects.
- Assistance in creation, definition and management of budget for the team in terms of resource, product development, test and production related activities
- Collaborating with other team leads in development to ensure maximum efficiency in cross-functional tasks and a compliant work environment is maintained.
- Developing, implementing and ensuring through monitoring that correct processes and infrastructure are in place for product engineering tasks in line with EASA 21G operations
- Occasionally, reviewing technical documents, and taking technical decisions regarding design and design substantiation as required to ensure function, performance, quality, reliability, and safety of the designs has been sufficiently addressed, and technical risks mitigated to an acceptable level.
- Ensuring sufficient technical communication between the mechanical team and internal and external interfaces, as well as discussions with customer or suppliers about development issues.
- Developing the team, development processes / tools / capabilities for continuous improvement. Administrative tasks for the mechanical engineering team

**Who you are**:

- Relevant university/polytechnic degree (preferably in aerospace / aeronautical / mechanical engineering) with at least 3 years relevant professional experience, or at least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a development engineer or similar role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Technical lead, technical project management, or team lead experience in a development department desirable.
- Experience in reviewing/approving design data desirable.
- Experience in supplier coordination and technical negotiations desirable.
