At Fraunhofer IPMS, we realize world-class AI accelerators using novel non-volatile memory devices in collaboration with renowned German and European partners from science and industry. By merging logic and memory elements, costs and required wafer area can be minimized and, above all, energy efficiency and speed can be maximized.
Join our team at CNT and work on these topics as part of your thesis.
**What you will do**
- Development and Processing of thin film materials for Spintronics Devices (e.g. MRAM, Racetrack)
- Experimental work in cleanroom and lab with state-of-the-art industry tools
- Systematic planning and realization of own experimental series
- Summary of the results and discussion within an international team
**What you bring to the table**
- Currently: Master program in physics, chemics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field
- High motivation to work independently on the experimental realization of your experiments in cleanroom and lab
- Result-oriented spirit of work with the attitude of creative problem solving
- Basic knowledge in solid state physics/chemistry, electrical engineering, semiconductor physics, surface sciences, magnetism phenomena or related
- Very good set of communication skills in english
**What you can expect**

In addition, we offer you connecting points within the framework of your studies or your career entry, e.g. a following PhD, the beginning of your scientific career as a junior scientist at Fraunhofer IPMS or becoming an engineer. We support you in this process
The weekly working time is to be agreed individually. The scientific work will be carried out in the research group **Spinbased Concepts** at Fraunhofer IPMS in Dresden. The examination takes place via affiliation with a German university of applied sciences and is governed by the respective state university law.
The position is limited for the time of the scientific work. The duration is flexible according to agreement and possible study guidelines.
