At the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS, we work at the highest international level on nanoelectronic, mechanical and optical components and their integration into tiny, "smart" devices and systems. You will be interested to work in our team. **What will you do at our institute?** - Project lead and acquisition of public funded projects and direct industry contracts - Participation in collaborations with our scientific and industrial partners - Sharing of knowledge and communication within the team of other scientists, engineers and students - You are a self-motivated team player and willing to willing to work independently - Reporting to management - Supervision of students - Writing scientific publications and presenting them at international conferences **You are a good fit if you bring the following with you**: - Master's or diploma degree in scientific or engineering studies (physics, chemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, process engineering or comparable) and ideally a PhD in the field - Profound knowledge in spintronics, magnetism and solid state physics/chemistry - Scientific and technical understanding in STT-, SOT-, VCMA-MRAM and deep understanding on magnetic analytics (e.g. CIPT, VSM, MOKE) - Work experience in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment (preferably on 300mm waferlevel) as well as proven experience in film and/or stack development for MRAM - High motivation to work with industrial partners with special focus on their needs **What can you expect from us?** You can look forward to an inspiring working environment that thrives on trust, creativity and team spirit.
