(Associate) Development Architect

**What you’ll do**:
As the Development (Associate) Architect, you will be responsible driving strategic architectural and technical decisions for the SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises portfolio:

- Collaborate with the respective product architects/owners to shape a reliable and bullet proof architecture for the product portfolio based on diverse technology stacks
- Drive/Code selective POCs as frontrunner projects to layout the technology path for the future
- Be a trusted advisor to engineering leadership & align technology vision with their business and technology priorities
- Lead development teams in the sustainability area across the cloud business using One SAP Mindset
- Collaborate with technology development teams to make sure respective requirements are appropriately reflected in their planning
- Represent the sustainability domain by speaking at conferences, publishing whitepapers internally and externally

**What you bring**:

- Holistic understanding of global emissions situation, initiatives thriving towards a more sustainable future and how companies contribute to those
- Excellent understanding of the Sustainability product domain.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex technology
- Self-motivation with a positive can-do attitude, eagerness and ability to work quickly
- Innovative mindset
- Very structured approach in daily work and problem solving
- Experience with cloud native development aspects
- Technical background (Master’s degree in computer science or related field)
- Fluent in English
- 7+ years of working experience in the following areas:

- Software development and implementation in the enterprise context

Preferred skills:

- 7+ years of progressively larger scale and relevant industry / academia experience in software development, architecture, and full product lifecycles
- Excellent communication skills to drive product
- & technology-related discussions on executive level
- Personal motivation to address the climate emergency situation and corresponding sense of urgency
- Excellent architectural and hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform

Together, these solutions form the backbone for SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises.
