Community Associate

We're looking for a Community Associate who speaks German and English fluently to join the team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact on-site during business hours, ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests. You will play a key role in fostering a vibrant community, overseeing daily operations, and facilitating collaboration within the NLND Berlin campus. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the welcoming face of the building, greeting members and guests warmly. Lead front desk operations during business hours, acting as the main on-site contact. Support member services, including postal handling and guest reception. Respond promptly to member inquiries and operational support cases, collaborating with the Head of Campus and service teams to resolve issues efficiently. Welcome and onboard new members, helping them integrate smoothly into the community. Identify and create opportunities to connect members, facilitating meaningful networking and collaboration. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the coworking space, maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment. Manage building operations and liaise with support teams to ensure timely maintenance and issue resolution. Monitor community feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. Assist with administrative tasks, including billing support as needed. Skills & Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as community management, office management, hospitality, or front-of-house operations. Ability to manage day-to-day operations, including facility coordination. Fluent English and advanced German proficiency Strong ability to build rapport, foster relationships, and create an inclusive atmosphere. Skilled at identifying and resolving member and operational challenges. Genuine enthusiasm for nurturing a thriving and engaged member community. About Green City Development GmbH We develop urban spaces where the future is born. Green City Development GmbH is an agency that brings new life to former industrial areas. We strategise, develop and operate new usage concepts that satisfy the diverse interests of stakeholders. Key projects include NLND (Neuland) Berlin, Riverside Studios, Alte Münze and Factory Network. GCD is the agency responsible for the strategy, development and operation of NLND Berlin, a project by Philip Morris GmbH. This role will focus on NLND alongside other GCD projects. About NLND Berlin NLND Berlin is a 150,000 m² former cigarette factory in Neukölln, re-envisioned as the home of industrial transformation, bringing together industry and SMEs with universities, start-ups, and the government to create a European lighthouse project for deeptech innovation and future city technology.
