**Introduction
The GlobalFoundries Technical Business Development (TPS Technical Pre Sales ) team is responsible for providing t echnology platform recommendation s and technical communication prior to customers embarking on design phase. F rom a System Architecture view point you should be able to guide which process platform is most suitable and h elp customer to select the right solution according to the end market and product requirements.
This position has significant direct customer interaction from working level to C level. You will partner with account managers to discover opportunities at early stage, identify the competiti ve situation, initiate internal meetings to solution and close technical gaps to enable customers to move forward to design. The role involves close work with End Market team on emerging m arket trends and directi ng our development. Active thinking, strong responsibility and ownership, problem solving, positive attitude, teamwork and personal communication skills are critical.
**Your Job**:
- Lead Technical Business Development within the Customer and Commercial team as single technical interface to customer and coordinate all technical sales interaction. You will be r esponsible for understanding customer’s requirement and aligning those to the GlobalFoundries mature and advance node platforms, addressing Automotive, IOT, Smart Mobile devices & Wearables and Data Center & Infrastructure.
- Develop customized technical presentations and proposals to assist customers in the evaluation of our solutions. Offer most credible representation of strengths and weaknesses of the GlobalFoundries technology (internally & externally ) and convey our value proposition. Identify and propose solutions to gaps and bottlenecks in the GlobalFoundries offering to meet customer requirements. All enabling the account manager to develop a commercial proposal for the customer.
- Collaborate and leverage GlobalFoundries End Market, Product marketing, design solutions & technology development teams, and provide real time customer feedback.
- Understand competitive design/technology/product landscape including emerging technology trends and competitive threats.
- Continuously learn about the customer and product, developing relationships, gathering intelligence, uncovering new opportunities
- Ensure that issues/obstacles/questions to a design win are resolved either directly or by engaging internal experts
- Gather, summarize, and drive team to close the technical gaps in our offerings that result in design win losses and/or misses in new revenue opportunities
- Partner with account managers, working to ensure a smooth post-design win transition to Application Engineering and Customer Engineering teams
