Strategic Business Development Leader
Your keen sense for business opportunities arising from mega-trends, technical advancement, and market dynamics guides the global business development groups ouf our client in close interaction with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Sales, and the Top-Management.
Tasks
- Monitor and detect upcoming trends in the customer and supplier market landscape in all world-regions;
- Define and maintain a market-focussed growth strategy comprising the product and technology roadmaps, go-to-market approaches strategy, and competitive positioning;
- Build and expand your business network to be in continuous exchange with key players, thought leaders, and potential lead customers;
- Promote your business development strategies internally and drive internal product ideation;
- Win executive support for your strategy and promote it within the organization.
**Requirements**:
- 8+ years experience in business development, sales or marketing, preferably in the
vision industry with a proven ability to translate market needs into new products or services;
- Excellent communication skills in English; German or additional language skills preferred;
you’re able to sell a vision to a broad audience, including C-level;
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics or a related technical focus;
- True team player: you’re able to transfer knowledge and coach colleagues in Sales and in R&D, especially in the role of driving product ideation;
- Ability to see the big picture: you can identify trends and fundamental commercial drivers;
- Effective VOC skills: you’re able to listen carefully to identify the underlying need and possess an innate curiosity about how things work and why;
- Willingness to travel globally, located in Europe (preferably Munich, Germany).
