**About the role**
As a Design Team Lead, you will be responsible for creating customer value and differentiating Latana through thoughtful, innovative, and coherent product design. This is a new product with a distinct advantage over competitors so we are looking for someone who can frame and optimise the overall product experience, our USP, and product features for the best possible customer value and experience. You will work with a wide range of teams within the product and marketing organisations as you improve and incorporate new, innovative design solutions, reporting to the Chief Product Officer.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Become an expert on the product value and features to help inform your design approach
- Lead, mentor and manage the design team to ensure they deliver high-quality designs within budget and timelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business goals, user needs and translate them into design solutions
- Conduct design research and analysis to identify trends, best practices, and user preferences
- Develop and maintain the design system, style guides and design standards that help to ensure consistency and quality across all products and services
- Communicate and present design ideas, concepts and solutions to stakeholders and gather feedback to improve the design
- Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously
- Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, technologies, and tools
- Be a systems thinker and guide your team to incorporate a service-design perspective into all aspects of their work
- Partner closely with product management and technical teams and collaborate using a variety of practices and approaches such as user story mapping, rapid prototyping, user experience research, etc.
- Manage and build a team of designers who are collaborative, innovative, and ready to drive product design within their functional team
- Coach and mentor team members to help them optimise their career at Latana and improve in their craft

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in Product Design and at least 3 years managing individual contributors
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma or similar tools
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating your design process, problem-solving skills and creative thinking
- Experience in designing user-centered, intuitive and accessible digital products and services
- Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and design thinking methodologies
- Strong B2B SaaS Experience
- Both a Creative and Strategic thinker. We are looking for an individual who can take complex technical topics and create elegant solutions, as well as coach your team to learn
