People Team Trainee

About the Role

icon group is seeking a recent graduate in Berlin to join our People Team as a trainee This position is perfect for anyone who is seeking to expand their skills and explore the field of operations, human resources, talent acquisition, and employee development. This role offers you a wide array of experiences and will give you a broad and foundational overview of people management. Your primary duties will be to support initiatives and leadership within the People Team mostly centered around operations, employee experience and development, and talent acquisition. Some prior working experience is a plus, but not required. icon group has a range of disciplines and services, and with our offices spread all over the world you will gain additional insight into the complexity of managing a global and diverse set of employees.

**Responsibilities**:
**Operations**:

- Management of absences, benefits, and other related issues through FileMaker & Personio
- Coordination of contract documents, visa support for international employees, and job references
- Administration of our HR management system such as creation and maintenance of HR master data, processing of certificates, and coordination of the administrative onboarding and offboarding process

**Experience**:

- Research topics related to learning and development programs, workshops, and trainings to help support the creation and upkeep of a library of initiatives
- Support the improvement of our internal feedback cycle based on research and best practices
- Analyzing exit interviews and internal check ins data and creating reports
- Updating and improving the People Team intranet

**Talent Acquisition**:

- Help write job descriptions and other copy in support of the talent acquisition strategy
- Collect research about hiring trends, tools, and methods

**Qualifications**:

- 1 year of professional experience in HR, People Operations, or similar area
- Degree from a university in the area of business, psychology, sociology, or human resources
- Experience using Personio, FileMaker and Confluence is a plus
- Excellent written and oral English skills, German a plus
- Must be located and able to work in Berlin, Germany
- Transparent and structured communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- A passion for people and an engaging and structured way of working with others
- Flexible and independent mindset with a hands-on mentality that loves to learn new things
