Team Lead: People Operations

**We are looking for an experienced Team Lead**: People Operations to join our growing tech company in Berlin

You’ll be shaping and growing our People Operations capacities and building on our current systems to ensure robust performance under the direction of our VP of Business Operations. You will work closely with our recruitment and office management teams to facilitate support for our business leaders and employees with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and pace.

Tasks
- You help us set up reliable, efficient, and lean processes and structures as we grow - ensuring all things People Operations run smoothly and contribute to creating exceptional people experiences, e.g. around on
- and offboarding, payroll and people administration.
- You will also work on People Operations topics hands-on, e.g., with support from a colleague and our external payroll office, you are accountable for conducting our payroll.
- You confidently and responsibly act as an internal labor law advisor and know when to collaborate with our external legal support.
- You work closely with internal and external stakeholders, your colleagues from the People team as well as the Finance team, and our senior leadership team as a trusted partner.
- You will mentor junior colleagues, and enjoy sharing your knowledge, and helping them evolve.
- You will support the collation of data for monthly review.

\- Supporting colleagues and managers on a wide range of generalist HR tasks including, taking action of meetings, absence management, disciplinaries, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and processing exit interviews.

\- Supporting the company leadership group with performance reviews.
- Maintaining your knowledge of the policies and procedures you will also seek out and implement improvements to any administration processes and help to update where necessary.
- Contribute to the development of our Zizoo Learning and Development plan
- Contribute to organizing events and team-building activities throughout the year
- Contribute to the People roadmap to ensure we have a robust system to support rapid scale.

**Requirements**:

- Native/fluent German and English, other languages will be a bonus
- Self-motivated with an ability to use initiative within a fast-paced environment
- Resilient and comfortable working with ambiguity
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage work requests working to tight timescales whilst maintaining quality
- Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with the HR tool landscape
- Demonstrable customer ethos and a real passion to learn and develop
- Excellent communications skills both verbal and written skills
- Ability to gather, collate, analyse and present information as required
- Experience in payroll
- Familiarity with German labor law
- Can-do attitude with strong work confidentiality and ensuring the integrity of HR records and conduct
- Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills
- Can do attitude with a strong work eth
