As Head of Technology for Voith Hydro Generators you are a crucial contributor to shaping the current and future technology portfolio for Voith Hydro’s electric machines globally.

**Your tasks**
- Continuously improve Voith Hydro’s tools portfolio for electromagnetic, loss and cooling calculations for electric machines including the definition of calculation procedures.
- You will explore new technologies applicable or adaptable for electric machines and define and execute R&D programs to ensure Voith Hydro’s technology leadership.
- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to a team of highly experienced experts.
- Furthermore you will provide global support with efficiency, temperature and cooling flow measurements for electrical machines.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with stakeholders and partners within the R&D community internal and external to Voith.
- Foster and maintain the cooperation with universities and research institutions in the scientific field of large electric machines, converter and high-voltage technology.
- Represent Voith at industry forums, conferences and customer meetings.

**Your profile**
- Successfully completed Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, PhD is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of electric machine design principles and related technology.
- Curiosity and willingness to pursue new ideas.
- Knowledge of and experience with lean project management tools.
- Leadership experience is of advantage.
- Strong understanding of simulation software and tools landscape for electric machine design is required.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken and basic knowledge of German are required as well as willingness to travel worldwide.
