About the team
TikTok's Music Operations team is part of the Content Partnerships team whose goal is to understand and champion the needs of our creators, artists & partners, and celebrate the diversity and creativity of our users & our platform. Our team vision is to amplify the power of our global community and to drive innovation that serves and connects our unique audiences, wherever they are. The local Content Partnerships team is focused on delivering key local insights, managing local creators, artists and partners and driving core content and music initiatives to develop our diverse and ecosystem and to ensure the success of our communities, artists and key partners across core pillars of Music, Entertainment, Sports, Gaming, Lifestyle & EDU and Emerging Verticals.

About the role
As Head of Music Operations for DACH you will report directly into the General Manager TikTok Operations for the region and will be responsible for the development and impact of TikTok's local Music content strategy on the platform. The local music team mission is to maximise the impact of music on TikTok for artists and fans which includes the discovery and promotion of music trends, driving music campaigns, as well as onboarding, developing and amplifying relationships with musicians, record labels, and music distributors. Specifically, adapt global framework and strategy for local relevance and priorities for the vertical, initiate local activations, oversee a team who manage a portfolio of our top artists and partners relationships and their business agreements, and drive strategic initiatives to accelerate their growth and success on the platform. You will be both external facing, representing the company at key events and partner engagements, and internal, as you drive many cross-functional initiatives, interfacing with TikTok's Programming, Product, Marketing, Comms, Commercial and Legal teams to develop business strategies and operationalize our efforts to grow the Music content vertical on the platform at a local level.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Drive overarching strategy and execution for the Music operations locally, working closely with global teams
- Directly lead TikTok's local Music Ops team and build relationships with local artist management, music labels and lead 3rd party partnership development (Music content partner, Live
- & Ticketing partner, Industry Associations)
- Leverage global strategic guidance and best practices, in order to deliver vertical growth strategy
- External partner management and engagement with top creators
- Cross functionally execute all music-related components within TikTok initiatives for the region.
- Drive, measure & analyze performance against key engagement metrics
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to highlight creators and support their initiatives, establish evolving best practices to optimize creator performance locally

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years music industry experience
- 10+ years music industry experience
- In depth knowledge of the overall music industry ecosystem and its dynamics
- Experience in influencer marketing, media, familiar with local music culture and Internet development trends
- Existing relationship with both a network of top music content creators, musicians, labels and music content partners to lead towards partnership
- Managerial and leadership experience with successful track record, strong organizational analytical, strategic thinking skills and a strong ability to collaborate cross function
- Good communication and presentation skills, and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for TikTok
- Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills, able to interpret data, identify problems, and come up with constr
