About EIT Health Austria in Vienna:
The regional Innovation Hub (RIH) EIT Health Austria in Vienna is the newest of eight EIT Health RIHs in
Europe. EIT Health Austria works with leading companies and public institutions in the healthcare sector,
renowned universities, research institutes and start-ups, on urgent challenges in the healthcare.
Through projects, programmes, and initiatives on the national and European level, our RIH delivers
solutions for high-performing healthcare systems and healthier citizens. We are building a team of about
ten highly motivated, customer-oriented and results-driven members that focus on engaging and
involving partners, as well as affiliated organizations in all three EIT Health pillars. We contribute to
shaping the future of healthcare by working with the regional healthcare system, maintaining close ties
with other hubs/partners, promoting innovative solutions, implementing programmes for
entrepreneurs, and participating in European initiatives.
Your role:
In your position as Education Lead at EIT Health Austria, you will be responsible for shaping the
education and training portfolio so that it yields results and impact, as measured through KPIs and
evidence-based outcomes (ie. change in knowledge, skills, behaviour). Providing support to project
leads, ensuring coherence along the EIT network and acting as European references and coordinators
for EIT Health Education programmes will be vital for successful implementation of this role. Based at
the RIH in Vienna, you will work in a multinational environment, with the opportunity to interact with
key players in the health sector in the DACH region as well as in other regions in Europe.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of EIT Health’s education strategy across all its regional Innovation
Hubs.
- Act as first point of contact, reference and coordinator for specific tracks in the education and
training portfolio.
- Contribute to ensuring quality and impact of projects, by engaging with project partners in
instructional design, adult learning principles and impact framework.
- Build strong relationships within the local education ecosystem.
- Develop the structure, and manage, different seminar series.
- Analyse and prepare the latest publications and developments in the health sector.
- Work closely with the Education team with the aim of determining ideas as a collective.

- Support alignment of education and training activities across different RIHs and integration of
the knowledge triangle across regions.
- Engage and advise the recruitment of participants to programmes and the Alumni Network.
Your functional skills and experience:
- Relevant academic degree at bachelor level or higher.
- Experience in project management at international level, such as competence of managing
- collaborative projects with multiple stakeholder groups.- Ability to implement and manage different types of education programmes.
- Existing working relationships with key actors of the regional education system and an extensive
- network of contacts in the local and European health sector are an asset.- Understanding of the link between education, research and business creation, as well as
- knowledge of EU instruments for innovation and research funding.- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex issues both in English and
- German.- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team, as well as a high level of integrity, self
- awareness and self-confidence.
