Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
EIT Health is one of eight Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) of the European
Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an EU body and an Institutionalised Partnership
under Horizon Europe's Pillar III - Innovative Europe. The EIT Health Supervisory Board is now
seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive Officer, who will work collaboratively with our
Strategic Management Team (SMT), Functional Management Team (FMT), our Partners, key
stakeholders from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and the
Directorates-General (DGs), and other EU financing instruments to ensure our success. The
CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership to the organisation, engaging with key
stakeholders to co-create the strategy and ensure its effective delivery. They will play a key
role in driving the organisation forwards to achieving its goals and strategic objectives,
including achieving financial sustainability by 2027. This is a pivotal role for EIT Health and an
exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, and inclusive leader.
at a senior level (ideally as CEO) in a complex, health-oriented organisation, together with
outstanding communication skills and proven ability to engage with and influence a diversity
innovation in health and healthcare, along with an understanding of how to work effectively
with the European Union Commission, its DGs and funding instruments. The successful
stakeholders and will be deeply committed to developing a leading a culture of openness,
transparency and authenticity.

With our central office in Munich, Germany, EIT Health operates across eight Regional
Innovation Hubs (each led by a Managing Director), which connect innovators across Europe

nature of our matrix-organisation requires strong leadership skills to drive strategic alignment
while fostering the growth of each individual regional hub across Europe.

EIT Health's day-to-day operations are led by our Management Team, comprised of key
management roles including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Director of
Finance and Director of Corporate Affairs, and including the directors from our Innovation,
Accelerator and Education programmes, and the Managing Directors of our Regional
Innovation Hubs. The Management Team is appointed by the Supervisory Board, who
supervise the work of the Management Team and makes strategic decisions that guide our
organisation.
