Research Associate (f/m/d)
Transcriptomics
Full-time and permanent
to join the transcriptomics team focused in high-throughput RNA-Seq technology and involved in various drug discovery projects.
Your key responsibilities:
- Support state of the art transcriptomics methods for various internal and external drug development projects
- High-throughput RNA-Seq library preparation on liquid handling robots (Beckman-Coulter, Agilent)
- Perform nucleic acid analytical and NGS QC data analyses
- Identification and evaluation of novel innovate techniques in the field of NGS sample preparation
- Responsibility for providing high quality samples in time
- Supervise and train new colleagues
Your ideal qualifications:
- Recently completed Ph.D in Life sciences or MSc with several years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
- Knowledge in the field of molecular biology, RNA biology, NGS
- Experience in RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis and NGS library preparation
- Knowledge in robotic lab automation for high-throughput sample processing is a big plus
- Expertise in assay/workflow development
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, collaborators, and customers
- Team player with strong time management and organisational skills
- High degree of initiative and flexibility, with the ability to deliver results independently under challenging timelines
- Fluency in English is required
