Intelligence Specialist

**Duties**: Duty 1**:Formulates and provides foreign disclosure guidance, recommendations, intelligence engagement policy and agreements for the HQ USAFE-AFAFRICA staff based on US policy interests in accordance with President of the United States (POTUS), DoD and US State Department policy directives, pertaining to European and African engagements.** Duty 2**:Develops and provides foreign disclosure policy and decisions for all USAFE-AFAFRICA European Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) engagements with the SAF/IA, EUCOM, AFRICOM, US Central Command (CENTCOM) and USAFE-AFAFRICA field units.** Duty 3**: Advises the Command and subordinate units by providing expert interpretation of National Disclosure Policy-1 as it applies to foreign exchange and liaison officers assigned within USAFE-AFAFRICA theaters.** Duty 4**: Provides expert foreign disclosure advice to USAFE-AFAFRICA's FOIA Program Office** **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - The employee must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance and be granted access to sensitive compartmented information special access programs, Special Background Investigation. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed - PCS expenses will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. - The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. - Duties are performed in a normal office setting. Work is normally performed at a desk in a fourth-floor office building. Employee is required to climb stairs (work areas have no elevators or escalators), to stand during briefing presentations, - Duty beyond normal 0800?1700 is often required. Overtime pay and/or compensatory time may be required. Shift work may be necessary during exercises, crisis, contingency, or conflict. TDY travel and duty on nights and weekends can be expected. - Disclosure of Political Appointments - Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement. - Emergency Essential: This position is Emergency Essential (E-E). In event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or a designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority. - The incumbent or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing capability of the organization - to function effectively. This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status. **Qualifications**: - This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level.
