Intelligence Specialist

**Duties**: This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. **Salary Ranges shown includes local market supplement ** **DUTIES** **Administers the USAFE-AFAFRICA ISR Security Cooperation program.** **Administers the USAFE-AFAFRICA Intelligence Directorate building partnerships and military-to-military contact programs.** **Participates in special studies to determine and satisfy short and long-term intelligence requirements of combatant commanders and the nation.** **Ensures security procedures and regulations are strictly adhered to in the processing of classified materials.** **Requirements**: **Conditions of Employment**: - U.S. Citizenship Required - All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period. - Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) - PCS expenses if authorized will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations - Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide - Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. - Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays - Shift work and emergency overtime may be required - Employee must maintain current certifications - Disclosure of Political Appointments - Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit - Advance in hire may be authorized if there is demonstrable proof provided on your resume - The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. - The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. **Qualifications**: **Specialized Experience**: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in multi-INT ISR capabilities, tradecraft, and processes within the Air Force and Joint ISR domain. This position requires an understanding of knowledge and how to best administer security cooperation goals with partners and advice ISR policy and strategic planning at a national level. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.**AND** Click on the following link to view specialized experience for this position:**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas**: - General knowledge of the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance security cooperation programs in order to develop partner nation's intelligence capabilities, interpret policy, and commit resources. - General knowledge of IC policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research and operations planning, training, and/or other intelligence related activities. - General knowledge of the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities of NATO and other potential partner nations in the US European Command area of responsibility as well as current and projected interoperability plans and programs focused on increasing the ability of US intelligence activities to share in the processing, exploitation, and dissemination of intelligence in a coalition environment. - Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material and skills in handling classified data in accordance with established DoD procedures. 5. Skills in database management and production of reports and other products that are responsive to the specific needs of customers to include formulating, gathering, organizing, and analyzing information, resolving conflicts, and presenting clear and concise findings.- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to work. **PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE**: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
