We are hiring for Zoetis Germany GmbH a field force/remote role as

**SALES LEAD GERMANY (ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR) COMPANION ANIMALS (M/F/d)**:
This position provides focused leadership to the field force of Account Managers (AM), Area Business Managers (ABM), and the National Key Account Manager and is a key member of the CA Leadership Team. The role contributes to the overall success of Zoetis by leading a team that delivers and exceeds the CA sales growth & market share gain targets nationally across all product lines through the successful execution of business plans and strategies and Sales & marketing programs. The person acts as a thought leader and paves the way for the team to adopt and embrace new tools and new ways of working in order to improve our understanding of customer needs, forging tailored experiences and leading to a higher efficiency and sustainability

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Strategy and Planning**
- Develop/support sales strategies and translate those into tactical delivery for the business unit. - Align resources, activities and account plans with marketing programs and management direction
- Contribute to the development of new strategies to drive the future business, nurture the channel with new ideas and approaches and initiates driving sales, in existing or new go-to-market models

**Field Force Effectiveness**
- Pursue best in class sales execution with the team that is achieved within the framework of the Solution Selling model and monitor relevant field force effectiveness KPIs
- Undertake leadership activities that enable the team to be productive and effective - coach, monitor, feedback, train and support
- Drive the required coverage and frequency with identified target customers and deliver consequent growth

**People Development**
- Lead the team of ABMs and other sales related manager functions with constant involvement and presence. Give them a specific and clear direction for the strategy, objectives, policies, practices and expectations
- Conduct field visits and utilise field time to coach and to understand day to day issues affecting field force, and monitor attitudes, skills, morale, and effectiveness
- Make active contributions to talent pipelining processes and act to retain and grow the talented individuals that exist in the team
- Embed a coaching culture in the team and ensure people are managed using the expectations set out in our company vision, mission, values, behaviours, and policies

**Relationships**
- Be the voice of the sales force when inputting into country wide plans and programs and be the vehicle by which communications from other functions are given to sales team.
- Contribute to the success of the business unit by role modelling best practice with colleagues, proactively welcoming ideas, sharing successes and enabling the team to do the same across the business

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Key Skills**:

- Exceptional leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, grows talent, identifies potential, coaches, inspires and enables
- Analytical thinker and exceptionally commercially minded, a strong aptitude for business management and financials
- Customer-centric with a strong service orientation.
- Thought leader and open to pioneer new ways of working and tools
- Exceptional relationship management, interpersonal skills and influencing abilities
- Fluency in German and English, other languages desirable

**Experience / Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree qualification required, preferably in relevant field; veterinary, science, business administration or sales
- Significant sales experience
- Significant leadership experience
- Experience in leading people managers
- IT literate. Able to use standard business software, communication tools and CRM systems
- Project management or consulting experience desirable
- Experience in the animal health field desirable

**Travel Requirements**:

- Regular travel within Germany and occasionally abroad
